Here in the age before the founding of democratic nations, pirates of the 17th century were a group of men rebellious and violent who lived by their own set of rules. Their rebellion ways often came with repercussion but in those Golden years of piracy it was not the pirates that suffered but those that crossed them. Pirates lived how they saw fit and always rebelled against the harsh rules and the society that made them. They lived to get rich quick and lived in a style of luxury and leisure from those they fled from. Often those they did flee were tyrants themselves. Even in their rebel ways they still had their own sets of rules and decisions by using codes, equality, group voting and just punishments and the division of power. All which contributed to the framework of democracy adapted later to be built.
When you enter the Caribbean be aware you are in treacherous waters and anything can and probably will happen here. You have entered the Golden age of the Pirates. There are many Islands and nations that make up these vast Caribbean waters and one of those is the Isle of Tortuga in which this room is based. At this time Pirates run the Isle of Tortuga and the Pirate Leaders name is Reule *Sea Wolf* Devereux
This home is the Isle of Tortuga within this room we have many location
PD's to indicate coming to or from and mainly where you are on the Isle.
We are an advanced role play room and expect the PD's to be used to indicate
your location or your role play will not be acknowledge. Observers are welcomed
but must have a name relevant to the time period. Also no role play is permitted
by observers if they just wish to observe. Once an observer jumps in to role
play they then become part of the game. The only time an Observer may
participate is by asking a question of one of the members in PM other than that
they stay quiet and do what they came to do...observe.
This home is based on much fact but there is some fiction thrown in so that we
have a more broad range of role play. With that said come on in and have fun in
the Golden age of Pirates both Men and Women alike can be anything they want to
be from Pirates to shop keeper to the enemy this is Where freeform role play,
lots of action and most of all fun can be found.
Just a few last things there is no avatar larger then 500 wide x 400
pixels high. Please keep your avatars tasteful and in time with the era you play
(17th century meaning in the mid to later 1600's). Other words for example no
nudity, BDSM, Gorean, Vampire type avatars please and no bringing in this type
of character in the room either. Please keep your tags to no more than 4 lines.
We don't want a lot of boring rules other than the site rules always apply and
we use the timestamp fashion for any battles for further explanation on this
